House of Destiny · Hybrid search · Overview updated October 2026

Search that leads back to its sources.

Delivered beta. Migration to the main target site remains unverified.

Illustrated hybrid retrieval and source grounding

The problem

A visitor’s question may not use the same words as the source material. Search needs to connect that question to relevant content while giving the visitor material they can inspect, rather than asking them to trust an unsupported generated answer.

My role and delivery

I delivered the House of Destiny WordPress AI search beta. My work covered retrieval design and application engineering using OpenAI embeddings, Supabase vector retrieval and keyword matching, with grounded summaries, filters, caching and analytics. The public record establishes beta delivery; it does not establish the main-site migration or a separate launch date.

Architecture and tradeoffs

The implementation combines vector retrieval and keyword matching. They address different aspects of discovery: semantic similarity and the words present in the material. Summaries are grounded in retrieved content, connecting the answer to sources a visitor can inspect.

Filters narrow the search context; caching and analytics support the application around retrieval. These are implementation features, not evidence of a measured relevance or latency improvement. No private source corpus, query logs, credentials or client configuration is included.

Evaluation and limits

The delivered artifact is a beta, not a claim of broad production adoption. A useful evaluation would compare representative questions, exact-term searches, missing-source cases and the support for each summary in retrieved material. No public benchmark, accuracy score or measured reduction in search time has been established for this case study.

Main-site migration and a shareable evaluation report remain the next evidence needed before making stronger deployment or performance claims. The diagram is an illustrated feature study, not a live search screenshot.

Separate projects

JumpCloud AI search is a separate working prototype and business case. Relatable is a separate WordPress semantic-search plugin with local vectors and adaptive hybrid ranking. Their implementation and deployment status should not be read as evidence that the House of Destiny beta is live on its main site.
